PAN PIZZA without Yeast in 15 minutes

Pizza is a savory dish of Italian origin, consisting of a usually round, flattened base of leavened wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and often various other ingredients baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. A small pizza is sometimes called a pizzetta. The process of how to make pan pizza with a perfectly crispy crust is actually quite simple to do at home! This recipe and tips will show you exactly how you can make a crispy crust pan pizza without Yeast and I dare say it is better than take-out!

Ingredients:

To make the Dough

  • 1 Cup or 250 gms All Purpose Flour/ Maida
  • 2 tsp Sugar (granulated)
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Desi Ghee / Butter / Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp *Citric Acid/ Ascorbic Acid
  • A little less than ½ Cup Milk

Alternatives for Citric Acid

  • 3 – 4 Tbsp Yogurt / Curd
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

For Garlic Flavored Butter Oil

  • 4 Tbsp Vegetable Refined Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Italian / Pizza Seasoning

Other Ingredients

  • Pizza Sauce (as per your wish)
  • Mozzarella Cheese (as per your wish)
  • Pizza Toppings (as per your wish)

Instructions

For the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, stir together Maida (flour), salt, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, milk, Citric Acid/ Ascorbic Acid and 1 tablespoon of the Desi Ghee/ Butter/ Olive oil until dough pulls away from side of bowl.
  2. Knead dough on light floured surface until it becomes a soft, smooth, and elastic ball of dough. Loosely cover bowl with a cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

For Garlic Flavored Butter Oil

  1. Mix well all the ingredients Vegetable Refined oil, Butter and Pizza Seasoning in a small bowl

For Pizza making

  1. Put the dough ball on the surface and with the help of rolling pin or with the help of fingers, spread the dough equals the size of the pan. Make sure the edges of the Pizza base is thick as compared to the inner area.
  2. Apply Garlic Flavored Butter oil on PAN and set the Pizza base on the PAN
  3. Put that Base on the Butter oil coated PAN
  4. Apply some Garlic Flavored Oil over the base and also on the edges of the Pizza Base
  5. Use a fork to poke holes in your crust, so it doesn’t develop bubbles when it bakes.
  6. Apply Pizza sauce
  7. Sprinkle about three-quarters of the mozzarella (a scant 1 cup) evenly over the crust and desired amount of vegetable and/or meat items.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, or until bottom of crust is a golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and lightly brown.
  9. Top with fresh chopped basil, if desired. Remove pizza to a cutting board, cut into 6-8 slices and enjoy!

Recipe Notes & Tips for PAN Pizza:

  • Can make the pizza dough a day ahead! Just place the dough in a covered container and let rise in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Make your own quick pizza sauce by combining plain tomato sauce, then add to taste: garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and dried oregano.
  • Make sure you knead the dough with warm milk
  • Use garlic butter oil properly otherwise it will be hard to get good flavors and it also promotes even cooking.
